“ Near the top of a mountain above Lake Maggiore, the young chef of the recently opened La Fenice has scaled the heights of fine food. Beautifully prepared dishes - we sampled his fish-stuffed ravioli, flavoured with a fine sauce and burnt fragrant onion, followed by beef cheek one could eat with a spoon - was served in an an elegantly designed dining room. And his pudding was excellent. Highly recommended. More than worth the trip. ”

Matteo's mother, who runs the front of house, delighted our kids by dancing with them, infusing the entire experience with love and joy. Each dish was crafted with care and passion, reflecting the same heartfelt dedication. La Fenice deserves a 100 on a scale of 1 to 5. “ Amazing experience at this restaurant. Newly open & taken over by a talented chef. Beautiful situated at the top of town, movie like views on the drive up to the restaurant. Spoke with the owner who is was happy to speak with me in English, as i speak very little or no Italian. He showed me around the beautiful grounds & private function area. Perfect location for an intimate meal with its 30 ish seats or for private functions ul to 100. The service was impeccable & the food was delicious & cooked from the heart. For starter I had a hand made ravioli of salted cod, with a loverly smooth buttery sauce & charred crispy onions, to follow i had a slow cooked Saddle of herb & garlic filled Rabbit, with Aubergine caviar & Oyster Mushroom.
